Renewing its $750 million revolving credit facility, UFP Industries (UFPI) reached a new 5-year agreement with a banking syndicate led by administrative agent JPMorgan Chase Bank. With the 5th amendment that took effect on October 23, 2026, the final maturity of the company's existing credit agreement dated November 2018 was extended to October 23, 2031. Wells Fargo Bank served as syndication agent and PNC Bank served as documentation agent in the process.

What are the new terms of the credit agreement?

Under the agreement, sublimits granted for short-term swingline loans and letters of credit were each raised to $75 million. Foreign currency borrowing terms were also reorganized, limiting foreign currency borrowings solely to swingline loans provided by JPMorgan Chase Bank. The interest rate on cash loans drawn by the company will be determined, depending on UFP Industries' choice, by adding a margin of 12.5 to 62.5 basis points over the Alternative Base Rate or 112.5 to 162.5 basis points over the Adjusted Term SOFR rate. In addition, an annual facility fee ranging from 12.5 to 25 basis points will accrue on the total committed credit amount; cost margins will be calculated retroactively in 3-month periods based on the company's adjusted leverage ratio.

Under the credit facility, as of September 26, 2026, the company had no actual cash debt, while approximately $42 million in letters of credit remained outstanding. The related obligations are secured by guarantees from certain domestic subsidiaries and equity pledges of certain foreign subsidiaries.

How did the financing decision affect the stock?

In trading that coincided with the period when the credit maturity was extended by 5 years, UFP Industries shares had a negative session. Company shares closed the day down 2.97% at $81.23 on a trading volume of 403,127 shares. Having recorded a high of $115.62 and a low of $74.21 over the past 52-week period, the stock stands in the 17% bracket of its annual price range at its current level.
